Arcata High Golf Starts Their Season at Baywood
BAYSIDE – The Arcata High School Golf Team began practice at Baywood Golf and Country Club Tuesday, February 5 and will be commencing their season with a tournament on March 3 at Redwood Empire in Fortuna at noon.
Coach Josh Leong anticipates a strong season; “This year’s team is one of the most talented teams we’ve had, but it’s also one of the youngest.”
Three of the team’s top four golfers graduated last season which left junior, Marley DeLlamas. Along with him in this season’s top three golfers are two Freshmen; Forest Iverson, and Matthew Cendejas.
The Arcata High Golfers have won league for the past 2 years in a row and are very hopeful with their talented young team.
